My last post from Queenswood...

I didn' t realise that this would be my last icom class here in Queenswood until now that the teacher gave us this horrible news. I really had a lot of fun here, and thinking that the day after tomorrow I will return home to my family makes me sad, because here I was used to being always with so many people, instead when I return home I will only have my little sister. I am going to miss all my new friends a lot, especially Letizia, Roberta and Alberto (the Italian people), because I spent all my time with them!! They also live in different parts of Italy, so it will be hard to see each other; Letizia lives in Turin, Roberta near Pisa, Alberto in Napoli and I live in Rome. Although Alberto and Roberta sometimes come to Rome, so I might be able to see them. Instead I will be able to see Letizia because she goes skiing in the same place where I go every winter, Sestriere.

Although, on the other hand I am also happy to return home, because I miss the good weather in Rome, my shower and the possibility to sleep as much as I want. The only reason why I don't want to return to my normal routine, is because my mother always tells me to help her at home.

I had a really good time here in Queenswood and I will never forget this year, because it was my first time that I went to a college during the summer!!

My life in the 16th century...

I would not like to live in the 16th century. It was a period were the people were really dirty and smelly. Although if I have to immagine my life in the 16th century, I will immagine myself in living a life as a farmer. This is because I don't like to consider myself a rich person, as the queen was, during that period of time. She only had one bath a month, so I immagine to be a farmer was really hard because maybe you could only do one bath a year, or even don't have a bath during all your life.
My routine will still be really relaxing: I would wake up at 10:30 am and go to help my dad and mother farming at 11:oo am. At 12:30 I would go eat, and also if the food wouldn't be a lot, it would still be able to feed me compelitely. Then in the afternoon I would still help my parents farming and then in the night I would still go out with some friends till 9 o' clock in the evening, which, would be the time when I would go to sleep.

What role does art play in my life?

Art doesn't have an important role in my life, I like drawing and go to see many modern art museums. I play a lot of sports such as: football, volleyballl and ski, and in school I didn't choose an optional lesson which includes the study of the arts. Art is instead really important for my little sister Vittoria, who always makes me do some activities which include art with her.
In the future I don't know if art will become more important in my life, but now its not a fundamental thing for me, I prefer music.

My weekend at Queenswood

This weekend at Queenswood we did many things. On Saturday we went shopping in the biggest shopping cetre in Europe; I bought two jumpers, a grey one in Hollister and a blue one in Gap. I also bought a t-shirt for my little sister Vittoria who is eleven years old.

On Sunday we went to Thorpe Park, I was with Roberta and many other spanish boys and girls, we had so much fun! We all bought some "fast tickets" which allowed us to skip the queue for the most exciting rides. My favorite ride was "Inferno" because it was the ride on which I screamed most.

The only thing that made me a bit sad was the fact that Letizia, my other Italian friend couldn't come with us because she was sick, but luckily today she is feeling better and is in icom class beside me. I also miss Tommaso (an Italian boy), because he made me laugh a lot, he was so funny!! I can't even believe that there are only five days left before I return home, the time is passing so fast here.

In the future...

In ten years I don't know exactly where I will be, but I still have some ideas of where I would like to be. I will have just finished college in the University of Miami and will go back to Italy or London to find a job which involves, publicity and marketing.
I will also have a house in Madrid and one in the center of Rome, but if I go and work in London instead of having a house in Rome I will have one in London near Oxford Street. I don't have any idea with who I am going to be, although I won't be alone. My routine will be really intresting because on during the week, I will have to wake up at 8:30am to go to work at 9:00am, at 1:15pm I will be able to go out at lunch until 3:00pm and work until 5:10pm. Later at 6:00pm I will go to do some exercise until 7:00pm and then go home. During the night instead I will be able to go to sleep at 12:00am. Instead during thr week-end I will wake up after 2 o'clock in the afternoon and then prepair myself and go out with my friends or boyfriend.

My favorite Superhero..

My favorite Superhero is Spiderman. This is because I really like his fantastic powers. He can climb walls and can shoot spider-webs. I saw all his movies and really liked all of them, although my favorite one is the third.
I would like to have his powers but I also would like to be able to fly and read in other people minds. I would like to fly because I would like to see things from a different prospective. But I also would like to be able to read in other people minds because like this no one can tell lies to me :-)

My favorite Movies

As I said above I have two favorite films: "The Miracle" and "The Gladiator".
I like "The Miracle" because it talks about a real story, where hockey is the most important sport. There is this man who has to go and coach this hockey team made up of 21 boys between the age of 19 and 25 who have to represent USA at the Olympics. The goal is to win the Olympics, but to do so this young team has to beat the Soviet Union which is the team that won 4 Olympics, one after the other, and no one has ever been able to beat them. During the first match against the Soviet Union they lose, but in the second match they win 4 to 3 and eliminate this strong team from the Olympics and three days after they actually win this important competition.
I like this movie mainly because, it make me understand that nothing is impossible you just have to believe in it.
Instead "The Gladiator" is a totally different movie, it is set in Rome and it talks about this man who used to be really important but who loses all his importance when the Emperor of the Roman Empire dies and his son comes to power. The new emperor decides to kill his family and so Maximus is forced to escape and become a Gladiator. Then the story ends with him dying while he is having a fight in the coluseum and reaches his wife and daughter in heaven.
I like this movie a lot because it teaches me that you never have to get used to a way of life because it could always change.
